new and need your expertise
just bought a Chinese 150cc gy6. nice little bike , but .... always a but. elec start wont work , horn , signals , etc. was gonna change the oil , plug, swapped a cdi unit that po bought. really not sure where to start far as electrical other than charge/check battery. thanks

If its new then you need to go through the wholle electric system and check all connectors. They are bad about being loss or not even connected. Charge the batt good befor using much. Dump all the oil that came in it first thing and make sure all the bolts are tight. Google Scooter post delivery inspection. Its a good thing to do even if it was used

First thing I'd check would be the inline fuse, in positive cable near the battery. If it's the glass type, toss it and install a spade type (available at any auto parts store). Also check battery ground...make sure it's a clean and tight connection.

seems battery was like 2 years old. bout the amount of time its sit. new battery and new plug and shes running. ill check bolts, tires etc now. see how bad carb is. maybe ride by the end of the week

That price leaves you plenty of money to find the issue, and still make a few bucks if you upgrade.
