My 2009 Peace Sports scooter would occasionally die at stops or when coming down into idle and this was an issue with my airbox being broken. Then the issue persisted with a freeflow filter and the freeflow filter had to be restricted. Now I've upjetted to a 38 idle jet and the dying has stopped with an unrestricted freeflow.
I also can't get the thing to idle properly at all unless the very finicky a/f screw is adjusted properly, it's well worth it to pop the cap off as you should be changing it not only based on the season but based on the particular temperature of any given day (at least I do...)
